On 08-30-00 at approximately 8:31 p.m. Watertown Police
Department patrol personnel responded
to a reported attempted strong-arm robbery at the Country Stand Farm Market,
931 Litchfield Road, Watertown. Upon arriving at the closed for business
Country Stand Farm Market, patrol personnel were advised by market management
that a short time earlier, they had discovered two individuals, who's
descriptions follow, attempting to steal money from the front counter area of
the market within the establishment..

These two individuals fled on foot outside of the store
after being confronted by market personnel. These two individuals, who obtained
no currency nor merchandise during this incident, ran outside towards Litchfield Road, and left the scene in a
vehicle that was only described as being large, dark in color, and either a
large van or a sports utility vehicle. It is believed by investigators that there
was a third subject waiting within this getaway vehicle for the other two
individuals involved in the commission of this particular crime. It was
believed this vehicle fled the scene in a southerly direction on Litchfield
Road.
Subject number one who was observed in the store was
described as being a young, Hispanic male, possibly in his mid teens, wearing a
beige colored baseball cap, who was bare chested, with t-shirt wrapped around
his neck, with short, dark hair, being short in stature, and of average weight.
Subject number two, who was also observed in the store,
answered to the name of "Jose", and was described as being an
Hispanic male, with a dark mustache, at least 6' tall or taller, with a dark complexion.
This subject was dressed in dark clothing, had a medium build, and was approximately
19 or 20 years of age, with a pronounced accent, while being heavier set and weighing
180 to 190 lbs.
Any citizens having information as to the identity of either
subjects involved in this crime, or any individuals who may have seen any
suspicious occurrences or vehicle in or about the area of the Country Stand
Farm Market, which is located south of the intersection of Plungis and Litchfield
Roads, and is also situation north on Litchfield Road from Ledgewood Road, are
asked to call the Watertown Police Department Investigative Services Unit at

kept confidential, with monetary rewards to be given by Water/Oak Crime
